I Description of property
This complex consisted of 10 residential structures
and a pool clubhouse.
II Description of problem
There were bats living under the aluminum sided
mansards. An exclusion attempt was made by a pest control firm
the prior year and although the bats were excluded from their
original roosting place, the original attempt failed to keep them
from reentering the buildings in different areas.
The first step of our program was to perform a detailed inspection
of every inch of the mansards on each building and flag any
potential bat entry hole. A detailed map was created showing
each area.
Our crews then proceeded to install exclusion flaps over every
identified area to allow the bats to safely exit the mansards.
Our crew installed over 300 exclusion flaps at the facility.
Once all the bats safely exited, our staff started the cleanup
and sanitation of the mansard voids followed by removing the
flaps and sealing every hole on each structure.
IV Unique attributes of project
The most pressing and difficult part of our service
was being able to locate any and every potential opening where
bats could enter the mansards.
Many of the bats are believed to have taken residence in a
nearby bridge.
With the use of a man lift boom and 6 staff members
the job was completed and the complex bat free after one week.
