I Description of property

This facility housed a large colony (several thousand) of freetailed bats.

II Description of problem

The majority of the colony resided in the upper tower with some smaller groups located in the main and lower roofs. This job required bat exclusion, guano removal, sanitation services, pest elimination and roof and tile repair

III Method used

This project was designed to be serviced in a multistage fashion. Use of a 125' crane lift was needed to gain safe access to the upper roof.
Phase I: Disinfect and sanitize guano accumulation on sub-roof - 2 spray applications. Physical removal of guano in roof areas.

Phase II: Roof ledge and building preparation. All openings in roof needed to be inspected and non-active areas were serviced.

Phase III: Installation of exclusion net flaps to the entire facility to safely exclude bats.

Phase IV: Removed netting and sealed all roof gaps, holes, cracks and all potential bat entry points.

Phase V: Disinfect, sanitize and eliminate all pests and parasites. Disinfect roof areas.

Phase VI: Repair and replace damaged roof areas
