I Description of property
This exquisite home located in the prestigious
Mountain Lakes Estates of Lake Wales was home to thousands of
Southeastern free-tailed bats.
II Description of problem
Each morning urine from the roost would drip
down the exterior wall and stain the entire kitchen window to
the point where the homeowner was unable to see outside.
FOB was called in, and with the use of an 80'
boom, we were able to place a continuous exclusion net of over
10,000 square feet over the entire roof structure including the
elevator tower.
IV Unique attributes of project
The key aspect of this job was the concern of
removing the bats safely and keeping them out, while not altering
this historical structure. Looking at the home the net covering
the entire structure is not visible.
It took our experienced crew only 2 days to set
the entire 10,000 square foot exclusion net. After 5 days the
bats were completely gone and we returned to trim the exclusion
nets and secure them in a permanent fashion for long term bat
control.
