I Description of property
This job was at an elementary school gymnasium
in Jensen Beach.
II Description of problem
Bats had decided to move into the outside gymnasium
pavilion, at first glance it appeared this site would be a good
choice for the bats. However, because of the odor from urine and
the accumulation of guano, it became a problem when the kids were
scheduled to use the facility.
The school had hired a firm from Wisconsin to
come in and exclude the bats, but after three months the bats
moved back in and the school was stuck because the company would
not honor it's warranty.
FOB was hired, this time the job would be done
right. The previous company had installed wire mesh around the
pavilion support columns. FOB evaluated the structure and determined
that the entire facility needed to be excluded. A permanent exclusion
net ceiling was the best method.
Six sections of exclusion net, 14 feet by 125
feet were seamed together on the ground, and with the use of boom
lifts and a rope pulley system, the entire net was raised and
put into place in a suspended ceiling style.
Special tubes were installed through various seam
areas to provide the bats a route of exit. Once all the bats were
out, the tubes were simply popped out and removed.
IV Unique attributes of project

of Bats was hired to come in and fix another company's work that
