I Description of property
Estero woods village consists of four structures,
each with approximately 6000 square feet of tile mansards.
 |
II Description of problem
Colonies of freetailed and evening bats had chosen to
live in the mansards of the roof. All previous attempts
to exclude the bats had either failed or worked only temporarily.
The structures had literally thousands of entry points
for the bats.
|
|
III Method used
There were so many entry points that Friends of Bats
decided to permanently net each facility. Our crew, with
the use of 2 40' bucket lifts, secured the exclusion netting
to the mansard soffits and a roof ledge clip system was
designed for the tops.

 |
IV Unique attributes of project
The job itself went very smoothly but the heat
was in the high 90's to 100+!
V Project duration
One day to install the netting on all four buildings
- 7' wide by 800' lengths. The finish work, roof repairs, tile
repair, tree trimming and final cosmetic work took an additional
2.5 days.
